coolest…memorial…ever?
The United States Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Va., looks like a simple structure — three tall spires of stainless steel curving outward to evoke a “bomb burst” maneuver. But it’s a fascinating photographic study, changing colors based on sky conditions from blue to steel gray to bright white to the colors of the sunrise. Up close, a photographer can distort the spires into something that looks totally different from the view from a distance, blowing up or twisting the curves into weird shapes.
My verdict? Way cool. If you’re in the area, check it out.
